Dr Sue Black, OBE

Dr Sue Black is Professor of Computer Science and Technology Evangelist at Durham University, where she's also Director of EDI in the Computer Science department.

Sue founded BCSWomen, the UK's first online network for women in computing, and techmums, a social enterprise helping disadvantaged mothers retrain into technology careers. In 2011, she ran the successful campaign to save Bletchley Park.

Sue was awarded an OBE for services to technology in 2016, named one of the UK's most influential people in tech by ComputerWeekly.com, and became Deputy President of the British Computer Society in 2023.
